Are you challenged, inspired or mystified by contemporary art?
Spin is a monthly discussion group set up by the Education Department at the National Galleries of Scotland, to help you get to the heart of contemporary art. Whether you are completely new to contemporary art, already enjoy it, want to collect it, or are involved professionally, Spin offers you the chance to engage with a variety of artists, artworks, galleries and studio spaces across Edinburgh in a relaxed and sociable setting.
Spin members meet at 6pm on the last Thursday of every month (excluding August and December) to enjoy informal discussions about contemporary art with artists, curators, critics and collectors over a glass of wine.
We also organise Spin-off trips to major events in the art calendar both in Scotland and abroad, as well as special visits to galleries and sculpture parks outwith Edinburgh.
So why not join and be inspired by art being produced today.
